Going to the next level

Don’t settle for where you are. Go to next level. You’ve got to go deeper to get to where you want to go; if you want to reach your goals. Being in a place of mediocre isn’t you anymore. It doesn’t satisfy you. There is a hunger for you to change the game and not stay the same. You want to grow and experience new things. Be like Rocky Balboa, he struggled and worked hard. He had difficulties in his daily life that he struggles he had. From a ‘nobody’, he becomes a ‘somebody’. It’s only after you’ve stepped outside your comfort zone that you begin to change, grow, and transform.

Going to the next level:

COMMITMENT

Are you willing to stay the course? Sticking at it despite the opposition. Start cooperating with yourself.  Make a commitment to your commitments. You will begin to see positive results.

I CAN attitude

Yes, it’s hard, but I CAN. Have that determined attitude of no matter what, I WILL do it. Grow through the challenges of life not groan through it. Purpose in your mind that you will do whatever is required to reach your goals.

FOCUS

Focus on what YOU need to do. Don’t get distracted by the noise. When you focus you begin to pay particular attention to what is that you want. Focus on the outcome not the obstacle.

FAILURE

Yes, we get knocked down at times. But the key is to keep getting up, as the saying goes winners never quit and quitters never win. Lessons are learned when we fail. There is no shame. The only shame is not giving things your best shot.

HARD WORK

You’ve joined the school of hard knocks. It’s painful, but it’s necessary. To reach your goals it requires hard work. Move from where you are. Commit, be determined, focus, prepare to fail AND get up. Are you daring enough to go to the next level?

Let me know what you are doing to get to the next level. Please leave a comment

Plan it. See it. Anticipate it.

What are you planting?

What are you planting?

Purpose & peace?

Love?

Appreciation?

Newness?

Truth?…

What are you planting with? Who are your companions?

Good companions to grow alongside are people that will offer time and advice. Support you with decision making. Also, just simply being there. Make sure you do your part and help others when they are in need. Putting in a little time and effort will pay off in the long run.

Screenshot 2020-07-03 at 08.56.41

Are you the caretaker? Who are you taking care of?

-Other people

-Family/ friends

-Children

Are you also taking care of YOU?

How are you taking care of what you have planted and your companions?

-Quality time with loved ones

-Being a listening ear

-Being there when they need it

-Laughing together

Problem

Are you the are gardener? Or have you let others plant for you? As they don’t understand your vision and purpose, the garden has now over-grown and has become messy. There is chaos and disorder. The ground may eventually become hard.

What you originally planted is not bearing fruit. You have now become dull and ineffective. However, dead things can be resurrected.

Take Action

-Do not let others trespass onto your garden

-You are entitled to prune or remove anything that encroaches onto your side of the boundary.

Screenshot 2020-07-03 at 09.09.23

Tips for seed sowing success

-Moisture the surface of the compost

-Make sure the seeds that you are planting is dug down deep enough as this will help them stay in one place

-Sprinkle the seeds evenly as this will create balance

-Water the seed, this is a vital element. Too much water and your seeds will drown or rot. Too little and they will either fail to germinate or die once they do.

-Ensure the environment in which you plant is tenderly cared for. It would be no good if the environment is toxic and it becomes a dumping ground. This is highly dangerous. This comes with a warning sign. Having a toxic environment is capable of causing death or serious debilitation.

Screenshot 2020-07-03 at 09.01.23

Give your seed the right amount of heat, light and moisture, and they will germinate successfully.

What you plant now will harvest later… if you don’t give up.

What are you planting? Feel free to leave a comment. I look forward to reading what you are planting.

RENEWED MINDSET & MOTIVATION

During Lockdown I have had plenty of time to reflect, refocus and reset.  Let us press the reset button and reprogram our mindsets.

Screenshot 2020-05-09 at 07.47.33

Research conducted April 2020 suggested,

Poor sleep and increased risk of exhaustion are also on the rise with the majority of the 500 respondents (64%) reporting a lack of sleep due to worries with a similar increase in symptoms of fatigue. Some 48% also admitted to working long and irregular hours.

Mental health was also found to be suffering, with half saying they were unhappy with their current work-life balance. A third admitted to frequently feeling isolated, while a fifth are worried about job security.

Our mindset matters, we need to feed our minds with the correct fuel.

A positive mindset means that you have a positive expectation that things will turn out well and that you will succeed. It gives you more courage to try and persist to make changes than if you have a negative mindset. Making positive changes in the way we think is necessary for our health and well-being. It also makes us more productive and focused.

Benefits of a positive mindset

  • Increased life span.
  • Lower rates of depression.
  • Lower levels of distress.
  • Greater resistance to the common cold.
  • Better psychological and physical well-being.

What we feed our minds, that becomes our mindset

SMILE

In these uncertain times we may find ourselves wondering what is going on.
Schools are shut.

Working from home.

More free time.

Restrictions on going out.

You made plans, but now they have been put on hold.

Not sure what to make of it all.

How do you remain positive when there seems to be chaos all around?
Here are a few things that I have been doing to stay focused, I SMILE.

S– Start a gratitude journal or continue writing in your journal.
Write down each day, two things you are grateful for. This will shift your focus and allows you to see that there is always something to be grateful for. You can do this exercise with your children. Members of your family. Call a friend and share your gratitude.

M– Mediate on positive affirmations.

Recite a positive quote in the morning. Think about what it means to you at this time. Share your quote with someone. This is a great exercise because it can transform the way you think and view things

I– Inject some fun into your day.

Dance to some music like no one is watching. Reconnect with old friends. Sing in the shower. Combat boredom and add some fun into your day.

L– Lend a helping hand.

Think about who you can reach out to. This will help you to focus your mind on other things. There are people that need your support. Be that person that extends a lending hand.
I am offering FREE one-hour coaching sessions for individuals who need to refocus and take action. Schedule your call with me today.

E– Enjoy the down time.

We may never get this time again. What is that thing, or in my case the things that you have not got around to do? Don’t overexert yourself. Take one day at a time.

Here are a list of some of the things that I am doing:

  • Decluttering the house, one space at a time.
  • Enrolled onto some free courses.
  • Working on new offers for my business
  • Spending more quality time with family

Reconnect with the things that you have been too busy for.

Remain positive and don’t forget to SMILE.

Share this with someone who you feel may benefit from hearing these tips.

What strategies are you using to remain positive in these uncertain times?

IN THREE SIMPLE STEPS

How committed are you to see your vision come to pass?

Are you willing to work hard and push through even when you don’t see the results?
Be committed to your goals. Commitment shows strength of character. Quitting is easy but following through until you see it come to pass can be difficult.
Even when it gets difficult, keep on going. You may feel that it is taking too long, and you want to see immediate results. Remember that there is a time for everything. Do not rush the process but persevere because you will see the results.
Here are three keys to help you master your commitment and not give up.
1. Dedication
Screenshot 2020-02-29 at 18.24.26
How dedicated are you?
You start well, until a challenge crosses your path. Then you question should I be doing this? Just because a challenge comes your way, it doesn’t mean that you throw in the towel. Think about how you will navigate the distraction. When you are dedicated you will set yourself a routine. Think about why you doing it, who will it benefit? Your why will keep you moving forward.
2. Determination

Screenshot 2020-02-29 at 18.27.41

Set your face like stone and be determined to carry out the task until completion

Be unwavering. Do not stoop to complaining, criticising or whining. Remember your words have power. Focus your energy on what you are doing and not what others are doing. Keep revisiting your goals and do not let anything stop you from pursuing your goals.

3. Drive
Screenshot 2020-02-29 at 18.30.01
Drive is a contributor to high performance. There needs to be a balance when you are driven to do something. Sometimes that drive can lead to burnout. Ensure you have balance. Being driven compels you to have a clear passion for what you are doing
Be calm, steady, and stay committed.
“There’s a difference between interest and commitment. When you’re interested in something, you do it only when it’s convenient. When you’re committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.” – Ken Blanchard
Are you committed or just interested?

DARE TO DREAM BIG

‘Without vision there is a lack of focus.’
A Harvard Business study revealed amazing statistics relating to goal setting and success. The study went on to find that the 14% who have goals are 10 times more successful than those without goals. The 3% with written goals are 3 times more successful than the 14% with unwritten goals.

Crystal clear vision.
1. Write your vision and goals down in your journal and make it clear. Research suggests that when you write down your goals you are 42% more likely to achieve your goals. Writing your goals down not only forces you to get clear on what, exactly, it is that you want to accomplish, but doing so plays a part in motivating you to complete the tasks necessary for your success.
2. Create a vision board.
Vision boards are a very powerful tool. It is a great way to manifest your dreams. It enables you to focus on your life, have clarity and have ideal outcomes. Once you have clarity, you select words and images and from magazines and pin them to your board. When you create a vision board it aligns your brain with what you want to attract.

  • Specific

What do I want to achieve?

Why do I want to achieve it?

  • Measurable

How will I measure my goals?

How will I know when I have reached my goals?

  • Achievable

How will I achieve my goals?

What steps do I need to take to achieve my goals?

  • Realistic

    Are your goals realistic?

What resources do you need to achieve it?

Review and revise your goals if necessary.

  • Timely

Do you have a time as to when you will achieve your goals?

When will you achieve your goals?

4. Do you have a support network?
Who do you support with their goals?
Having a supportive network is a great way to be accountable. This allows you to keep you on track.
5. What steps do I need to take to fulfil my goals?
Writing your goals down isn’t enough. You have to put action to the vision.
It’s great to have a vision and have goals. In order for it to come to pass, you have to take action, act today.
The benefits of having goals:
1. Provides a sense of purpose and direction
2. Define your short- and long-term goals
3. Guides the decisions you make

SIX HIGHLY EFFECTIVE STEPS TO GOAL SETTING.

Have you ever set yourself some goals, but have never achieved them?

Do you get frustrated that you start well, then things seem to fall apart?

You find yourself procrastinating, being otherwise minded. Before you know it, days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months, I think you get the picture. You get frustrated with yourself because you haven’t made much progress.

2019 is the year where you will set goals & achieve them.

Are your goals S.M.A.R.T.?

smart

WOW, February already.

Are you taking action towards your goals?

Sometimes we need to look at our goals, evaluate and rework (re-adjust) the plan.

If the plan doesn’t work, change the plan, but never the goal.

Repeat these positive affirmations.

This is the mindset you need to have each time you approach a task.

No more putting things off and thinking that the goals you have set yourself are too difficult to achieve.

Remember, small step, big results- keep moving forward. As the saying goes, a year from now you wish you had started today.

Everything is temporary.

“Everything in life is temporary. So if things are going good, enjoy it because it won’t last forever. And if things are going bad, don’t worry. It can’t last forever either.”~Unknown

Pain is temporary. Feelings are temporary, even our time on earth is temporary, which is why we have to make the best out of this temporary time and try not to give power to temporary emotions to ruin our lives.
