I have started to reflect on what I have achieved/ accomplished this year.

Also, what I have not YET achieved this year.

Have you found yourself saying, ‘Oh I wish I could do that’ or ‘I would love to do that’.

Well… I have.

Do not live in regret.

Have a CAN DO attitude.

Why not start setting your goals TODAY.

There is plenty of time to set your goal and start actioning what you want to achieve.

If you start today, you’ll be glad you did.

Highly Effective ways to break bad habits.

I don’t know about you but I find some habits are hard to break? I want to share with you some tips that I have found useful to break bad habits.

Have you ever got yourself into a situation, then thought how do I get out of this habit?

Yes, we sometimes fall into bad habits, however, it is also about replacing them with good habits.

Research by James Clear suggests that bad habits interrupt your life and prevent you from accomplishing your goals. They jeopardise your health — both mentally and physically. And they waste your time and energy.

What habits have you fallen into?

Think about how you will replace it with a good habit.

Here are some tips that may help you:

  • Define the concrete behavior you want to change or develop
  • Identify the triggers
  • Deal with the triggers
  • Develop a substitute plan
  • Get support
  • Reward yourself
  • Be persistent and patient
  • Consider getting professional help

3 Steps to boost Self-Discipline.

I think self-discipline is something, it’s like a muscle. The more you exercise it, the stronger it gets.  – Daniel Goldstein

In assessing your level of self-discipline, ask yourself the following questions:

  • Am I setting myself goals for what I want to accomplish each day?
  • Do I take breaks throughout the day?
  • Have I taken steps to limit the distractions and temptations that hinder my progress?
  • Do I give myself a reasonable amount of time to complete tasks?
  • Am I effectively delegating work and decision-making where possible?
  • Am I mindful in my day-to-day work routine?

Always ask yourself the question why am I doing this? The WHY is so important because when you feel like giving up you go back to your WHY.

Improve yourself discipline.

  1. Take frequent breaks: Self-discipline is like a muscle. We can grow and improve our strength with practice, but we can also grow tired, and find our ability to remain in control exhausted.
  2. Remove temptations and distractions: Like many skills, self-discipline is best improved with frequent practice. It is a learned behavior, not an inherent ability, that we can train ourselves to engage in it more often. One of the best ways to set yourself up for success is to remove the things that you find distract you from your work.

The following steps can help you increase your self-control

  1. Make time to make decisions. Decision-making is one of those tasks that often fall exclusively on to leaders. 
  2. Reduce the load. While decision-making may often fall to leaders, delegation is an important tool in preventing yourself from becoming overloaded. 
  3. Positive thinking. This will help you to improve your focus by learning to concentrate on a fixed point, such as your breath while letting emotions or thoughts pass by without affecting you.
